The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a suspicious incident that was reported in the Gerrard Street East and Beaton Avenue area.
It is reported that:
-on Monday, April 7, 2014, at approximately 8:30 a.m., at the intersection of Gerrard Street East and Beaton Avenue a 16-year-old girl was approached by an unknown man in a vehicle
-the man told the girl that she was supposed to go with him and motioned for her to get into the car
-after a brief conversation with the man, an adult friend intervened, causing the man to leave.
The man is described as being in his 40s, East Indian with darker skin and was wearing dark glasses. He was driving a small, beige, four-door vehicle.
