Police seek assistance identifying man in assault, Security image released, Main Street Subway Station

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man involved in an assault on Toronto Transit Commission property.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at approximately 1 a.m., an assault took place on the westbound platform of the Main Street Subway Station.

- the victim was waiting on the platform when he was approached by an unknown man

- the man walked up behind the victim and pushed him off the platform to track level

- the man boarded the next westbound train

- the victim crossed over the eastbound tracks and was helped back onto the platform by witnesses

- the victim was not injured

The man was captured on security cameras; images are being released.

The man is described as in his 50’s, 5 ’7” – 5’ 9”, 160-165 lbs., black, greying hair, parted on the left side. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a design on the front, black hip-length jacket, dark colour pants, western style boots, and carrying plastic grocery bags.
