On Wednesday, March 5, 2014 and Wednesday, March 12, 2014, three banks were robbed on Bloor Street West, in the area between Lansdowne Avenue and Ossington Avenue, by the same person.
It is alleged that:
- a man entered the banks
- he handed the teller a note, indicating a robbery, and demanding money
- he received a quantity of money, then fled
- during each robbery he wore a hooded sweater, with the hood pulled over his head, obscuring his face
On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Hold Up officers arrested Leonardo Peralta, 26, of Toronto. He faces the following charges:
1) Robbery (four counts)
He was scheduled to appear in court, at Old City Hall on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, room 101, 10 a.m.
