On Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 2:40 a.m., police responded to a shooting call on King Street West, near Portland Street.
Officers arrived and located two men on the sidewalk suffering from obvious injuries.
Both men were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday, March 28, 2013, in the afternoon, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Anthony Smith, 21, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination is to be scheduled.
