The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a cellphone theft and trafficking investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between December 2013 and March 2014, employees at Apple N Parts, 6373A Yonge Street, received stolen cellphones
- they resold the phones in the store, and on Kijiji
On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, five employees were arrested.
Araz Behnood, 31, of Thornhill; Cina Barazandeh-Taghizadeh, 21, of Thornhill; and Masoud Touri, 45, of Toronto, have each been charged with:
1) two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
2) two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking
Sina Ghojehbiglou, 19, of Thornhill, has been charged with:
1) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking
Eslaminejad Kavous, 59, of Toronto, has been charged with
1) four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
All five men appeared in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, courtroom 101, 10 a.m.
