Man and woman wanted in aggravated assault investigation, Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue area, Image released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an aggravated assault investigation.

On Friday, August 6, 2021, at approximately 4:10 p.m., police responded to a call for an assault in the Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue area.

It was reported that:

- a man and a woman got into an argument with an elderly man in front of an establishment

- the man and woman punched the man, knocking him to the ground

- as a result of the assault, the man was transported to hospital where he remains in critical condition

Investigators are seeking the public's assistance identifying the suspects.

The woman is described as being in her late 30's to early 40's, 5'5", with an athletic build. She had long dark blond hair that was worn in a ponytail. She was wearing dark-coloured tights, and a t-shirt.

The man is described as being in his 30's, tall, with a thin build, and short curly brown hair. He was wearing shorts, a shirt and sandals.

An image of the woman has been released.
