The Toronto Police Service is investigating a fatal collision.
On Thursday, August 5, 2021 at approximately 11 p.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at Dufferin Street at Ranee Avenue.
It is alleged that:
- a 28-year-old woman was driving a black 2020 Dodge Caravan east bound on Bentworth Avenue at Dufferin Street
- an 18-year-old man was riding a 2016 Honda CB500 motorcycle north bound on Dufferin street at Ranee Avenue
- the two vehicles collided in the intersection
- the man on the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries at the scene
- the woman attempted to flee and was later located
On Thursday, August 5, 2021, Kirsten Stevens, 28, was arrested. She has been charged with:
1. Impaired operation cause death
2. Exceed blood alcohol cause death
3. Leave accident scene causing death
She was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing by Traffic Services.
Police are requesting local residents, businesses and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
