On Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the playground within 10 Alton Towers Circle, Toronto Crime Stoppers will host a community unveiling of a refreshed playground where two young girls were wounded back in June 2018 after a brazen daylight shooting.
The project was commissioned by Toronto Crime Stoppers as part of its Community Reward Program where the organization works to identify community improvement initiatives that work to enhance community safety and empower a movement of a crime-free Toronto.
In addition to the playground refresh, youth in the community will receive a custom “Alton Towers Superhero” branded sweatshirt.
Staff Superintendent Randolph Carter, Maxime Langlois, Director of the BOLO Program and the Toronto Crime Stoppers Board of Directors will be in attendance, along with 42 Division officers to unveil the latest Community Rewards Program initiative.
For further information, please contact Crime Stoppers Coordinator Detective Marc Madramootoo at 416-808-7260 or Chair, Sean Sportun at 416-904-3805.
