On Saturday, December 21, 2013, Toronto Police received a call for a disturbance in the Scarborough Bluffs area.

On Monday, March 10, 2014, officers attended Danforth Avenue and Greenwood Avenue area to search for him.
It is alleged that:
- while at this address, police observed a black Acura 3.2 car associated with John Brown
- police attempted to pull over the car, but he refused to stop
- police began a vehicle pursuit but lost the car a short distance away
- officers were alerted to the wanted car by citizens who had witnessed the car crash into a building
- although heavily damaged, the car fled the scene of that crash
- officers searched the area and once again located the car
- the car again fled
- the wanted man drove at a high rate of speed
If anyone comes in contact with John Brown, please call 9-1-1. The public is advised that he may be violent and dangerous.
