Shooting Investigation, Tandridge Crescent and Byng Avenue, Four People Injured, including 3 children, One man faces charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to provide the public with an update on a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, police responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Tandridge Crescent and Byng Avenue.

When police arrived on scene, they found four victims.

- a one-year-old boy, who has been treated and released from hospital

- a five-year-old girl, who is in critical condition in hospital

- an 11-year-old boy, who has been treated and released from hospital

A 24-year-old man was also taken to hospital with injuries. He has been arrested.

Demar Cadogan, 24, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Discharge Firearm with Intent
2. Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without Holding a Licence and Registration Certificate
3. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
4. Possess Firearm while Prohibited
