Arrest made in Drug investigation, Faiaz Ahmed, 28

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a drug investigation.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, investigators commenced an assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- this investigation led to a man being arrested

- during the arrest, investigators received information regarding a large quantity of narcotics

- a search warrant was executed on a vehicle

- police located a hidden trap compartment in the trunk of the vehicle

It is alleged officers seized the following:

- 5 kilograms of fentanyl
- 1 kilogram of cocaine
- 700 grams of crystal meth
- a loaded .40 Cal Glock 22 handgun with an extended magazine
- $40,000 in Canadian currency

Faiaz Ahmed, 28, of Mississauga, is charged with:

1. four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance
2. four counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance
3. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
4. Careless Storage of a Firearm
5. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
6. Possess Firearm Knowing Unauthorized
7. Possession of a Loaded Firearm
8. Possess Prohibited Device
9. Firearm Obtained by Crime
10. four counts of Assault
11. two counts of Forcible Confinement

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, June 18, 2021.
