On Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Women's Day kick-off will take place at Senator O'Connor College School, located at 60 Rowena Drive.
The Toronto Police Service - 33 Division and Diversity Management Unit is partnered with Rise Above Young Womens Empowerment Group, Senator O'Connor College School, and Read2Rap, alongside 100 young women from six local high schools.
The afternoon portion of the event will include a group discussion surrounding the importance of having a role model in your life.
The event will also feature six female role models from Toronto, and Canadian recording artist, Linda Luztono who will be singing, "So What."
