The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying a man sought in a series of assaults.

Between Tuesday, January 19, 2021, and Thursday, January 21, 2021, officers responded to numerous reports of assaults in the Yonge Street area between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue, and in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area.

In all incidents it is reported that:

- a person is approached by a stranger

- unprovoked, the suspect launches a violent attack

- he strikes his victims on the head and face

- in some instances, the suspect continues to strike his victims until they fall to the ground

- he then flees the area

In all incidents the suspect has been described as approximately 5’8" to 5’9", 20 to 25, has a beard and goatee, with a thin to medium build, and has black hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with grey interior lining in the hood, black pants, and black shoes with a white stripe around the sole.

He is considered violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Investigators believe there may be other victims and urge people to come forward to police.
