The Toronto Police Service has released images of a third suspect and a vehicle investigators are working to trace as part of a homicide investigation.
The Service received a radio call for the sound of gunshots on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 11:38 p.m., in the Bathurst Street and Ranee Avenue area.
On arrival, officers located 33-year-old Shane Shannon Stanford suffering from a gunshot wound in a vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following two search warrants executed in the Jane Street and Wilson Avenue area and one in Welland, Ontario, Raheem McLaughlin, 27, of Toronto was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
A 17-year-old girl, from Toronto, was also charged with Accessory After The Fact to Murder
Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Detective Michael McGinn appealed for the public’s help in identifying a third suspect and locating the suspect vehicle.
The third suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s, with a light brown complexion, approximately 5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with maroon coloured "KAPPA” track pants and black shoes.
The outstanding vehicle is described as a white 2005-2006 Nissan Infiniti G35, four doors with a sunroof and tinted windows, gold coloured rims and gold trim under the driver and passenger doors. It also has scratches rear of the right bumper.
