The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an investigation into a fatal collision.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 1:20 a.m., police responded to a call for a break-and-enter in progress. While en route, police received a call at 1:25 a.m. for a personal injury collision at Danforth Road, east of Hibberts Drive.
It is reported that:
- a 59-year-old man was operating a Chevrolet Impala taxi, westbound on Danforth Road east of Hibberts Drive, in the passing lane
- a 51-year-old man was on the roadway
- the 51-year-old man was struck by the taxi
The 51-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital. He is believed to be the suspect in the break-and-enter call.
