Suspect sought in Sexual Assault Investigation, Wellington Street and Bathurst Street area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a suspect in a sexual assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- the morning of Monday, September 3, 2018, a man and woman were at a bar in the area of Wellington Street and Bathurst Street

- a 21-year-old woman was offered a ride home by a man in a newer white or silver Hyundai car

- between 3:15 am and 4 a.m., the vehicle was parked in a parking lot in the area of Dee Avenue and Weston Road

- the woman was sexually assaulted in the vehicle

This has been an ongoing and active investigation and officers have established a suspect they want to identify.

He is described as black, early to mid thirties, 6'0", medium build, with short black hair and black facial hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeve button up shirt with small writing in white or silver on the left chest and a large logo on the back in white or silver, black jeans, black baseball hat, and black shoes with a white sole.

Security camera images have been released.

Anyone who recognizes the man pictured is urged to contact police.
