The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.
On Sunday, September 27, 2020, at approximately 7:33 p.m., police received a call for a shooting in the Kipling Avenue and Mount Olive Drive area.
It is reported that:
- a 24-year-old man, who had been shot, was located in a hallway
- life-saving measures were taken but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene
- another man, 21, was located and transported to a local trauma centre with serious injuries
The deceased has been identified as Josephate Tyran Martelly, 24, of Toronto
His image has been released.
