The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in relation to a retail robbery that occurred on September 18, 2020, in the Fort York Boulevard and Spadina Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- a man entered a store and began filling a bag with merchandise
- he picked up a drink and proceeded to the cash, only paying for the drink
- he attempted to leave the store when he was approached by store security
- a struggle took place and the man bit the security officer and used a syringe to slash him
- the man was subdued and held until police arrived
Kurt Roarco, 32, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with:
1. Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2. Weapons Dangerous
3. Assault with a Weapon
4. Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
He appeared in court, on September 19, 2020, at 10 a.m., at Old City Hall, in room 111.
