On Friday, September 4, 2020, at 3:43 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision that occurred at the intersection of Birchmount Road and Cass Avenue.
It is reported that:
- a 34-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle south on Birchmount Road approaching Cass Avenue
- at the same time, a 26-year-old woman was driving a Black Jeep north on Birchmount Road and turned left (west) onto Cass Avenue
- the driver of the Jeep turned into the path of the motorcycle and they collided
- the driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries
Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash-cam footage of the area or incident to contact investigators.
