The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an ongoing investigation into the death of a child.
On Monday, February 3, 2014, at approximately 4 p.m., police were called to attend an address in Scarborough. As a result of the ensuing investigation, police attended the Howard Johnson Toronto East at 22 Metropolitan Road, where they found a child in obvious distress. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The post-mortem examination was completed this afternoon. The result was inconclusive, pending further tests.
