On Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to a suspicious incident radio call in the Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- a knife was located in a children’s play area
- those using the facilities could have been harmed by the knife
- officers attended and removed the knife
While this is believed to be an isolated incident, we would encourage all parents and care givers to check playground areas and pay special attention to play structures including swings, slides, and climbing equipment before they are used.
