Public assistance sought identifying suspects in taxi driver assault, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 12:50 a.m., a Beck taxi driver picked up a group of five or six passengers

- the driver and his fares became involved in a fare dispute at Wellington Street West and Tecumseth Street

- the driver was attacked by the group and sustained non-life-threatening injuries

The first passenger is described as white, in her early-to-mid 20s, 5'4", with a thin build, and blonde hair. She was wearing a black top and black, dressy jacket.

The second passenger is described as white, in his early-to-mid 20s, 5'7", with a thin build, black slicked-back hair and a goatee.

The remainder of the passengers are described as white women, all in their early-to-mid 20s.
