The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two arrests in relation to a retail robbery in Toronto.
It is alleged that:
- on Thursday, April 2, 2020, a pharmacy retail store robbery was committed in the Kingston Road and McCowan Road area
- a man and woman entered the store and walked around pretending to be customers
- they removed a larger quantity of items from the shelves
- one of the suspects pulled out a knife when store security approached them
- they fled the scene in a stolen car
- on Saturday, April 4, 2020, officers located the stolen car being driven by the suspects and were able to bring it to a stop after a short pursuit
One of the suspects was immediately arrested. A Police K9 Unit was used to locate a second suspect.
Wesley Penney, 34, Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Two counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2) Two counts of Possession of a Weapon
3) Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
4) Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
5) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
6) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under
7) Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order
He was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Old City Hall, room 111.
Jenna Feero, 26, Toronto, has been charged with:
1)Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2)Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
3)Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under
4)Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation
She was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Old City Hall, room 111
