On Friday, April 3, 2020 at approximately 11:10 p.m., police received a report of a collision on Steeles Avenue West area, west of Islington Avenue, in Toronto.
It is reported that:
- a 28-year-old man was driving a white 2015 Lexus IS350 west on Steeles Avenue
- the investigation so far suggests this man made a U-turn and was struck by the drivers of two east bound motor vehicles
- a 53-year-old man, driving a red 2018 Nissan Rogue, struck the passenger side of the Lexus. A 35-year-old man, driving a white 2012 Honda Civic, also struck the Lexus
- the 28-year-old suffered fatal injuries at the scene and died
- the two other drivers and a 50-year-old female passenger in the Nissan were taken to local hospitals. The injuries the woman suffered were considered life-threatening.
This is an isolated stretch of Steeles Avenue West. Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
