The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a man wanted in an attempt murder investigation.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at approximately 5:57 p.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East area.
It is alleged that:
- a number of people were sitting inside a car
- they were approached by a man driving a grey SUV
- as the SUV passed, the driver fired a gun at the occupants of the car
- the driver fled in the SUV
Investigators have identified a suspect.
Usman Kassim, 38, of Toronto, is wanted for:
1) two counts of Attempt Murder
He is described as 6'4", 180 lbs., with a shaved head.
He was last seen driving a 2020 Grey Dodge Durango with licence number CMCM 315.
He is believed to be violent, armed, and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
