The Toronto Police Service 55 Division and Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two arrests made in a bank robbery investigation.
On Thursday, March 26, 2020, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a bank robbery in the Queen Street East and Pape Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- two men entered the bank while concealing their identities with masks
- both suspects made a demand for cash
- one man pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at bank customers and employees
- the suspects fled the scene in a car with a quantity of cash
Divisional officers, who were responding to the call, were able to stop the car following a short pursuit. Two men were arrested.
It is further alleged that:
- a black BB/pellet gun was seized
- a quantity of cash was recovered
Jeffrey Marsh, 55, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
1.Robbery with a Firearm
2.Disguise with Intent
3.Possession Property Obtained by Crime
4.Obstruct Peace Officer
He was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Friday, March 27, 2020, at 10 a.m., at College Park Court, room 501.
Jason Buick, 50, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
1.Robbery with a Firearm
2.Disguise with Intent
3.Possession Property Obtained by Crime
4.Point Firearm
5.Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
He was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Friday, March 27, 2020, at 10 a.m., at College Park Court, room 501.
