On Monday, March 16, 2020, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a call for a collision that occurred in the parking lot area near 399 The Westmall .
It is reported that:
- a 74-year-old woman was driving a Toyota car north on The Westmall and turned into the parking lot area at the property of 399 The Westmall
- she stopped the vehicle briefly, and then accelerated quickly
- she lost control of the vehicle and struck the building located at 399 The Westmall
- she was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries
There were no other people involved in this collision. Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
