Assault with a weapon investigation, Yonge Street and Queen Street West area, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man involved in an ongoing Theft and Assault with a Weapon investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at approximately 1:40 p.m., a man attended a store in the Yonge Street and Queen Street West area

- he took two high-end jackets and left the store

It is further reported that:

- once outside, he was approached by security staff regarding the theft

- he then produced a knife and attempted to stab the guards

The man is described as 25-30, 5’6” to 5’8”, he was wearing a dark grey winter jacket with a fur-trim hood, dark blue or black jeans, black casual shoes and dark sunglasses.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
