Fatal Collision 5/2020, Victoria Park Avenue and Old Sheppard Avenue

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 5:10 p.m., police received a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle at Victoria Park Avenue and Old Sheppard Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a 79-year-old woman was crossing Victoria Park Avenue at Old Sheppard Avenue, from the west to the east side of the street

- a 57-year-old woman was driving a brown Lexus RX350 SUV westbound on Huntingwood Drive, before making a left turn southbound on Victoria Park Avenue

- the SUV struck the pedestrian

- the driver remained at the scene

- the pedestrian died from her injuries

The investigation is ongoing by Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
