The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of a male arrested in relation to a home invasion robbery that occurred in Toronto.
It is alleged that:
- on August 23, 2019, a home invasion robbery was committed in the Strachan Avenue and King Street West area.
- three suspects attended the victims residence and identified themselves as building “security officers”
- the victim opened the door and the three suspects forced their way inside while one was armed with a handgun
- the suspects made a demand for money and then began searching the apartment
- the suspects were unable to locate any money and eventually fled the scene
Tarik Chaouche, 22, of Toronto is charged with:
1) Robbery With Firearm
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
He appeared in court for a Bail Hearing on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Old City Hall, Room 101
Hold Up Squad investigators are continuing attempts to identify the other suspects.
