The Toronto Police Service in partnership with its Black Community Consultative Committee, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Country Heritage Park, Black Farmers & Food Growers Collective, Canadian Integrated Community, Community Innovative Alliances, Delta Family Services, Kingsview Church and other organizations will be participating in a toy and food drive distribution event on Tuesday, December 17, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the party room at 2067 Islington Avenue.
The goal is to bring the community together and to work with local organizations to give back to those living with financial constraints.
Representatives from the Toronto Police Service, Minister Todd Smith from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, several other organizations, community members and children will be attending the event.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys or non-perishable food can be dropped off between 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 2067 Islington Avenue.
