On Friday, November 22, 2019, at 1:52 p.m., police received a report of a collision on Lawrence Avenue west, near Rosewell Avenue.
It is reported that:
- a 51-year-old man was driving a silver Nissan Pathfinder SUV eastbound on Lawrence Avenue West, near Rosewell Avenue
- a 91-year-old man was crossing Lawrence Avenue West, from the south to north curb
- he was struck by the SUV
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
