Police request assistance with Robbery/Shooting investigation, Queen Street West/Ryerson Avenue

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying two men wanted in a robbery/shooting investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, January 1 2014, at approximately 4 a.m., a man was in the Queen Street West/Ryerson Avenue area

- two men approached the man and made a demand for money and property

- one of the suspects pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the man while the other suspect kicked him

- when a struggle ensued, the man was shot in the left ankle

- the suspects then fled in an early-90s, silver, four-door sedan

The man with the firearm is described as bi-racial (black and white), with a light complexion, approximately 5'7", with a slim build, short black hair, acne on his face, a large nose, a high-pitched voice, and was clean-shaven. He was wearing a T-shirt.

The suspect who kicked the man is described as 5'9", with a medium-to-large build, black hair with a 2" tapered cut, and was clean-shaven. He was wearing a red T-shirt.
