Stabbing investigation, Arrests made, 22 Madison Avenue

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of arrests made in an ongoing stabbing investigation.

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, police responded to a report of multiple stabbings that took place at 22 Madison Avenue.

It is alleged that:

- a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl were denied entry to a private party being held

- they both forced their way in, slashing and stabbing people inside, as well as outside as they were leaving

A total of five victims were injured, one who sustained life-threatening injuries.

The man and the girl were arrested in the area.

Jacob Alves, 19, of no fixed address, and a 15-year-old girl, of Richmond Hill, were each charged with:

1) three counts of Aggravated Assault
2) three counts of Assault with a Weapon
3) Weapons Dangerous
4) Attempt Murder

He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 1, 2019, at College Park Court, in courtroom 501, at 10 a.m.

She was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 311 Jarvis Street, in courtroom 1, at 10 a.m.

Investigators are requesting local residents, businesses, and drivers - who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident - to contact them.

**The young person cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.**
