Victims and Survivors of Crime Week is an annual outreach initiative of the Justice Canada Policy Centre for Victim Issues. This year’s theme is “The Power of Collaboration”.
On Monday, May 27, 2019, at 10 a.m., the Toronto Police Service will be hosting an event to commemorate the national Victims and Survivors of Crime Week. The event is an opportunity to call attention to the services and assistance available to victims and survivors of crime and their families.
The event will be held in the second floor auditorium at Toronto Police Service Headquarters at 40 College Street, Toronto.
The event will also celebrate and recognize those who support victims and survivors of crime and their families. The Toronto Police Service annually recognizes an individual or organization that demonstrates outstanding service in supporting victims and survivors of crime.
This year we will be presenting the “Leading the Path” award to Victim Services Toronto for their continued efforts to serve victims of crime and sudden tragedy.
