On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at approximately 7:37 p.m., officers responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble at 57 Shanly Street.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering obvious signs of trauma. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The victim has been identified as Valland Spolarich, 43, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
Herculano Pimentel, 50, of Toronto, has been arrested. He is charged with:
1. Second Degree Murder
He will appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 2 p.m., in room 101.
