The Toronto Police Service requests assistance from the public locating a man wanted in an Aggravated Assault with a Weapon investigation.
On Friday, May 17, 2019, at approximately 7:11 a.m., officers responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.
It is alleged that:
- A man and woman were in a home in the area
- The man suddenly attacked the woman
- He strangled her and stabbed her with an object
- The woman was able to flee the home
- She was treated for life altering injuries
Anthony Fitzroy Johnson, 27, of Toronto, is wanted for:
1. Aggravated Assault
2. Forcible Confinement
3. Overcome Resistance by Choking
4. Breach of Probation
A photograph of the suspect has been released. His hair may have been cut since this picture was taken.
He is considered violent, armed, volatile and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
