On Thursday, November 21, 2013, at approximately noon, police investigated a man riding on a TTC bus in the Malvern area.
It is alleged that:
- the man had a fully loaded revolver in his pocket
A search warrant was subsequently executed on the man's home.
It is further alleged that:
- a second, fully loaded, revolver was recovered as well as a quantity of narcotics
Darnell Garnes, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) two counts of Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
2) two counts of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
3) Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
4) Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
5) two counts of Possession of Firearm with Serial Number Removed
6) Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle
7) two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
8) two counts of Weapons Dangerous
9) Carry Concealed Weapon
10) Possession Methamphetamine for Purpose Trafficking
11) Possession Methamphetamine
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Toronto East Courts, in courtroom 412 .
