On Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 6:50 a.m., police responded to calls for the sound of gunshots in the Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West area.
Officers arrived on scene and located a woman in a white Mercedes-Benz. She had apparent gunshot wounds and was without vital signs. She was transported to hospital.
It was reported that two people were last seen fleeing in a dark-coloured SUV, east on Lake Shore Boulevard West.
On Friday, February 15, 2019, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased in hospital.
She has been identified as Veronika Mrhova, 24, of Toronto.
