On Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 11:30 a.m., members of the Toronto Police Service will be participating in their 3rd Annual Polar Plunge with other police services, law enforcement partners, members of the public and athletes from the Special Olympics at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park, 1751 Lakeshore Boulevard West.

The Polar Plunge is a winter fundraising event where individuals have the "honour" of jumping into the icy waters of a nearby lake. The Toronto Police Service has been a proud supporter of this signature event held by the Law Enforcement Torch Run initiative benefiting Special Olympics Ontario.

Check-in for participants will be at 11 a.m., with opening ceremonies, including remarks from Chief Mark Saunders starting at 11:30 a.m. The plunge will be taking place at noon.
