The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of arrests made in a robbery/carjacking investigation.
On Thursday, January 24, 2019, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Caledonia Road and Rogers Road area.
It is alleged that:
- a 59-year-old man was making a fast-food delivery to a home
- he was approached in the driveway by two males
- both were wearing balaclavas, one of them produced a gun
- the food, money and the victim's car were stolen
On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Caledonia Road and Rogers Road area.
It is further alleged that:
- a 36-year-old man was making a fast-food delivery to a home
- he was approached in the driveway by three males, one with a gun
- he was robbed of money, his keys and his debit machine
- the males then stole his car
- the car, with the three males inside, was located a short time later
- officers attempted to stop the car
- the suspects drove at police cruisers causing a collision
- one of the males was arrested immediately, the other two fled
- after a foot pursuit officers were able to arrest the other two suspects
- a replica firearm was recovered
- two officers were injured in this incident, their injuries were not serious
Investigators believe the same group of males is responsible for both robberies.

3. Two counts of Point Firearm
4. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000
6. Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
7. Flight From Police
8. Assault With A Weapon
9. Two counts of Fail To Comply Recognizance
A 16-year-old boy, of Toronto, is charged with:
1. Two counts of Robbery With a Firearm
2. Two counts of Use Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence
3. Two counts of Point Firearm
4. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000
A 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, is charged with:
1. Two counts of Robbery With a Firearm
2. Two counts of Use Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence
3. Two counts of Point Firearm
4. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Assault Peace Officer
6. Two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance
They all appeared in court at Toronto West Courts on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 204.
