Group of Seven Artwork Stolen in recent Break & Enter, Annex area, Image of stolen artwork released

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of the theft of a valuable painting by A.Y. Jackson, a member of the Group of Seven.

On Friday, January 18, 2019, officers responded to a call for a Break and Enter at a residence located in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood.

It is reported that:

- an original piece of art painted by A.Y. Jackson was stolen among other items

The oil on canvas painting is titled "Sun Gleams: Autumn, North Saskatchewan" and is approximately 32" x 40."

The painting is valued in excess of $200,000.
