Hold Up investigators would like to make the public aware of a man arrested for a violent robbery spree in 13 Division.
On Sunday, January 20, 2018, at approximately 5 p.m., a man attended a convenience store in the Davenport Road and Dufferin Street area.
It is alleged that:
- a man walked directly behind the counter and confronted a 65-year-old man with a knife
- a struggle ensued and the victim suffered minor injuries to his wrist and leg
- the man obtained a large quantity of cigarettes and fled

On Sunday, January 20, 2018, at 5:45 p.m., a man was in the area of Oakwood Avenue and St. Clair Avenue West
It is further alleged that:
- a man forcefully entered a home through the back door
- once inside he made a demand for money from a 40-year-old woman who was in the house with her eight-year-old son
- a struggle ensued and the man grabbed a knife threatening to kill the woman and pushed her to the ground
- the woman sustained non-life threatening injuries and managed to flee out the front door with her son
- the man obtained property from the home and left via the back door

On Sunday, January 20, 2018, at 5:50 p.m., a man was in the area of Oakwood Avenue and St. Clair Avenue West
It is further alleged that:
- a man attempted to enter a home via the side door
- a 40-year-old woman in the house tried to prevent the man's entry and her husband who heard the commotion startled the man causing him to leave

It is further alleged that:
- On Sunday, January 20, 2018, at 6 p.m., after fleeing the residence, the same man attacked a 25-year-old woman who was walking in the area
- the man punched her in the face, grabbed her by the hair and dragged her to the ground while armed with a knife
- the man then tried to grab the woman's purse but fled on foot as police arrived
On Sunday, January 20, 2018, Dennie Davies, 36, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:
1. four counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2. four counts of Weapons Dangerous
3. Assault with a Weapon
4. two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under
5. eight counts of Fail To Comply Recognizance
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Monday, January 21, 2019, in room 306
