On Friday, January 18, 2019, at 9:49 a.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision which occurred on Holly Street at Soudan Avenue.
It is reported that:
- a 57-year-old man was driving a Land Rover southbound on Holly Street at Soudan Avenue and came to a stop at the stop sign
- an 89-year-old woman was walking across Holly Street from the east to the west side, on the north side of Soudan Avenue
- the vehicle proceeded and struck the pedestrian
- the pedestrian was transported to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. The hospital later advised that the injuries sustained were life-threatening
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
