On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at approximately 12:40 a.m, the Toronto Police Service received a call for a shooting in a parking lot in the Victoria Park Avenue and Sweeney Drive area.
It is reported that:
- a man fired multiple shots into a parked vehicle, with four people inside
- the man fled on foot and is seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, white pants, black shoes, red gloves and a black satchel
- the man then got into a white Hyundai sedan that was waiting at the rear of the plaza and travelled westbound on Sweeney Drive
- a short time later a 26-year-old man walked into an hospital with a gunshot wound
- he sustained non-life threatening injuries

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the man and the owner/ occupants of the white Hyundai sedan.
