The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 5:30 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was on board a the TTC subway train which was travelling northbound from Bloor Station.
- a man who was also a passenger, stood behind the woman, and sexually assaulted her
- he then exited the train at Eglinton station
- the woman reported the incident to police
- police commenced an investigation and were able to identify the man
On Thursday, January 17, 2019, Edreese Mohabaty-Doost, 26, of Richmond Hill, was arrested and charged with:
1. Sexual Assault
2. Indecent Act
He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at College Park Court, at 2:00 p.m.
