On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a Suspicious Incident in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Birchmount Road area.
It is alleged that:
- police entered into an investigation of a vehicle with multiple occupants inside
- during the investigation two loaded firearms were located inside a satchel
On Saturday, January 12, 2019, Troy Charley, 30, of Mississauga; Justin Europe, 32, of Brampton; Irma Galastica, 28, of Toronto; Shemica Duncan, 26, of Brampton; Matthias Khasa, 18, of Quebec, were arrested.
They are all charged with:
1. Use/Handle/Store Firearm Carelessly
2. Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without Holding a Licence
3. Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon or Prohibited Device Knowing No Authority
4. Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
5. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
They all appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 10 a.m.
