On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 10:14 p.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision at McCowan Road and Brimorton Drive.
It is reported that:
- a 44-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic, southbound in the passing lane on McCowan Road north of Brimorton Drive
- a 32-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord, southbound in the curb lane on McCowan Road north of Brimorton Drive
- the driver of the Honda Civic changed lanes, colliding with the Honda Accord, causing both vehicles to lose control
- the Honda Civic mounted the east curb striking a pole
- the driver of the Honda Civic sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene
