Man faces 15 charges in drug investigation, Sawed-off shotgun seized

On Monday, November 18, 2013, members of the Drug Squad arrested a man in a drug trafficking investigation.

It is alleged that:

- the accused was trafficking powder cocaine in the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

- a C.D.S.A. search warrant was executed at the accused's home and the following was seized: powder cocaine, scales and packaging, a Winchester 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun, 31 rounds of .32 calibre ammunition, seven 12-gauge shotgun shells

Jermaine Douglas, 31, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. four counts of Traffic in Cocaine
2. five counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
4. Careless Storage of Firearm
5. Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
6. Possession of a Loaded or Prohibited Firearm
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
8. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

The accused appeared in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
