On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Canadian Tire, at 1901 Eglinton Avenue East, members of the Toronto Police Service, in partnership with Canadian Tire staff, will be holding its Toys for Kids kick-off.
This annual event raised $10,000 last year and supported families in the local and surrounding Divisions.
This year, the officers, Auxiliary members, volunteers and staff will be joined by Canadian Tire store owner Mike Kenopic. The Toronto Police Service will be presenting him with a plaque in appreciation of his generosity over the years and participation in the Toys for Kids program.
In attendance will be A/Staff Superintendent Mark Barkley, Superintendent Reuben Stroble, and Inspector Peter Moreira.
Members of the public are invited to drop by for refreshments.
For the next five weeks, this Canadian Tire location will be accepting Canadian Tire money and cash donations that will be used to buy gifts to be distributed via local social service agencies.
